Hollywood is infested with pedophiles, “Lord of the Rings” actor Elijah Wood said in a interview.
“I’ve been led down dark paths to realize that these things are probably still happening,” the former child actor, now 35, told the UK’s Sunday Times.
“There are a lot of vipers in this industry.”
He compared it to the case of Jimmy Savile, a British TV host who abused at least 500 children.
“People with parasitic interests will see you as their prey,” he said.
Wood, whose career began when he was 8, said his mother had protected him.
Anne Henry, co-founder of the entertainment charity BizParentz, said Hollywood is sheltering abusers.
Corey Feldman, who was a child actor in 1980s films “The Goonies,” “Gremlins” and “The Lost Boys,” spoke in 2011 about the abuse he suffered as a teenager.
He said that when he was 14, he was “surrounded” by molesters.

Open Secret and Lies: How SAG-AFTRA Boss David White Misled Union Board On Pedophile Docu
by David Robb June 11, 2015 3:42pm
EXCLUSIVE: SAG-AFTRA National Executive Director David White recently misled the union’s board of directors about the union’s attempt to whitewash An Open Secret, director Amy Berg’s explosive new documentary about the sexual abuse of child actors in Hollywood. He also misled the board about the union’s threat to sue her and the film’s producers.
SAG-AFTRA Threatened To Sue Director Amy Berg Over ‘An Open Secret’
Last Friday, Deadline revealed that the union had threatened to sue Berg unless she removed “all references” to the union from her film. Prior to publication, the guild issued this statement: “We have not yet threatened to sue this producer. Nor did we attempt to suppress any factual or accurate information in this production.” While White was denying our story, the film’s director confirmed our report.
Berg told Deadline: “I felt that SAG-AFTRA used legal threats to try to sanitize the film.” Her position is supported by a letter that was sent to her by the union’s litigation counsel and copied to White and two other top union officials (read it here).
White included those false assertions in an email he sent to the union’s board of directors Friday. “As you may already know,” he told the board members, “an inaccurate story about SAG-AFTRA posted online at Deadline today. …Regarding the Deadline piece, we were contacted with information about this shortly before publication and sent a strongly worded statement requesting the blog address several inaccuracies. We sent our correcting statement to alert the reporter and the publication that their story was rife with errors and outright falsehoods, and to push them toward more factual reporting. Deadline refused to correct its story. … As is reflected in the statement, one of this union’s top priorities is the protection of all its members – especially its youngest members. Anyone who suggests otherwise is not dealing with facts.”...

Hollywood freely collaborated with Hitler and China is next.
Such alarming revelations, many based on newly unearthed documents, are the basis of Harvard scholar Ben Urwand’s new book, “The Collaboration: Hollywood’s Pact with Hitler.” Urwand notes that 1930s Berlin heavily censored movies out of Hollywood, which would not deliver a major anti-Hitler production until 1939.
Hollywood effectively submitted its films for approval to Georg Gyssling, a Nazi diplomat who arrived in LA in 1931 and threatened the studios with “Article 15,” which said that if an American film released anywhere in the world offended Germany, the Germans would ban all other releases from the same studio...

Hollywood and 9/11: The Movies and TV Dramas Resembling the Terrorist Attacks That Were Being Produced in September 2001
A significant number of movies and television dramas were being produced at the time of the 9/11 attacks, which had storylines with some remarkable similarities to the events of September 11, 2001. These storylines featured incidents such as terrorist attacks at the World Trade Center, terrorists hijacking a commercial aircraft, and terrorists causing a jumbo jet to crash in New York.
The movies and TV shows would have featured some famous actors, and were being made for major companies, such as CBS and 20th Century Fox. Furthermore, employees of the military and other U.S. government agencies are known to have assisted in developing the storylines of some of these productions. Unsurprisingly, after September 11, the movies and TV shows were either canceled or significantly rewritten so as to remove any resemblance to the 9/11 attacks.

The existence of these movies and TV dramas, at the very least, disproves claims that the 9/11 attacks could not have been foreseen. It is worth considering, however, whether these productions served a more sinister purpose in relation to 9/11, albeit unknown to most of the people working on them.

SOPA Is a Symbol of the Movie Industry's Failure to Innovate
This year the movie industry made $30 billion (1/3 in the U.S.) from box-office revenue. But the total movie industry revenue was $87 billion. Where did the other $57 billion come from? From sources that the studios at one time claimed would put them out of business: Pay-per view TV, cable and satellite channels, video rentals, DVD sales, online subscriptions and digital downloads.
The music and movie business has been consistently wrong in its claims that new platforms and channels would be the end of its businesses. In each case, the new technology produced a new market far larger than the impact it had on the existing market.
- 1920's - the record business complained about radio. The argument was because radio is free, you can't compete with free. No one was ever going to buy music again.
- 1940's - movie studios had to divest their distribution channel - they owned over 50% of the movie theaters in the U.S. "It's all over," complained the studios. In fact, the number of screens went from 17,000 in 1948 to 38,000 today.
- 1950's - broadcast television was free; the threat was cable television. Studios argued that their free TV content couldn't compete with paid.
- 1970's - Video Cassette Recorders (VCR's) were going to be the end of the movie business. The movie businesses and its lobbying arm MPAA fought it with "end of the world" hyperbole. The reality? After the VCR was introduced, studio revenues took off like a rocket. With a new channel of distribution, home movie rentals surpassed movie theater tickets.
- 1998 - the MPAA got congress to pass the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), making it illegal for you to make a digital copy of a DVD that you actually purchased.
- 2000 - Digital Video Recorders (DVR) like TiVo allowing consumer to skip commercials was going to be the end of the TV business. DVR's reignite interest in TV.
- 2006 - broadcasters sued Cablevision (and lost) to prevent the launch of a cloud-based DVR to its customers.
- Today it's the Internet that's going to put the studios out of business. Sound familiar?
Why was the movie industry consistently wrong? And why do they continue to fight new technology?
